Domains FAQ
A domain name is the address people would type in to visit your website e.g. "ethicalhost.ca". It is required to host a website on the internet. You can register your domain name with any registrar, regardless of who you choose as your webhost.
In order to transfer a domain from another registrar to EthicalHost,,follow these steps:
1) Unlock the domain at the current registrar.
2) Obtain the EPP or Auth Transfer Code at the current registrar.
3) Place a domain transfer order on our site.
4) Be able to receive mail at the admin contact email listed at your domain registrar in order to approve the email that will be sent there.
5) Arrange to do this at least 3 months before your domain is due for renewal to avoid any possible issues.
*** Transferring a domain will extend your existing expiry date by 1 full year so you do not lose any registration time by transferring early.
