How to setup email in Outlook 2007


1) Open Outlook
2) Goto TOOLS | ACCOUNT SETTINGS, click on NEW... and then click next from the first prompt
3) Check off Manually configure Server Settings at the bottom of the next window and click next.
4) Select Internet E-mail then click next (it's the default option)
5) Now Fill in the following fields:

  • your Name (i.e. John Doe),
  • Email Address (i.e. you@yourdomain.com)
  • Account Type is POP3 (the default setting)
  • Incoming Mail (POP3 or IMAP) server is mail.ethicalhost.ca
    (replace yourdomain.com with you actual domain name)
  • , and your email  Password that you created in the cpanel.
  • Enter the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) server: mail.ethicalhost.ca
  • Enter your username ( this is your FULL email address)
  • Enter your password that you created in the cpanel

6) Now click MORE SETTINGS....
7) click on the OUTGOING SERVER tab and check off the option My Outgoing Server (SMTP) Requires Authentication
8) Click the ADVANCED TAB and change the Outgoing Port (SMTP) to 587 and make sure USE SSL/TLS is check off or selected
9) Now click OK, NEXT, then FINISH
10) close the program and then re-open it and you should be all set.
