About ManitouMatters	English (USA)
This list began with the Movies that Matter group on Manitoulin Island: in 2004, members began to host potluck/movie/conversation gatherings at their homes from time to time. Since then membership has grown as the word spread from friend to friend, and we use the list for invitations to other kinds of gatherings and cultural events as well as movie nights. The list is maintained by gnusystems (www.gnusystems.ca) as a service to the social network on Manitoulin. To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the ManitouMatters Archives. (The current archive is only available to the list members.)
Using ManitouMatters
To post a message to all the list members, send email to manitoumatters@gnusystems.ca. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to ManitouMatters
Subscribe to ManitouMatters by filling out the following form. This is a closed list, which means your subscription will be held for approval. You will be notified of the list moderator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
